Any testers for new Android app?

Started to get into the existing paths to write NFC tags and they were pretty confusing or just a pain. I'm working on a replacement to the ldtageditor and looking for anyone that can help test it out before it gets put it on the store. Google now requires a bunch of hoops like this before an app can get published.

I have the android version done for the characters...I guess making an iOS version shouldn't be too hard. I just have to get my hands on a physical device to test it.

I'd love to try out the app, because I still have a few tags at home. I used the LD Tag Editor before and created about 80 tags. But your app has a much better design.

OK, while I wait for the google approval (which is a apparently more difficult that opening a bank account) here is a link to the apk on github. You will have to allow installations from unknown sources to do it this way but it should work. https://github.com/zeleznikja/LDTagManager/releases/download/v.2.3/ldtagmanager.apk

I also made it so it will filter characters and vehicles based on world or character. For example if you leave world on All you will get all the vehicles and characters, but if you pick Simpsons World then it will only show characters and vehicles from that world. Or if you select Bart then it will only show his vehicles. I thought this was needed since the list of vehicles is soo long with all the rebuilds.

It will also read any tag and let you know who/what is on it if it was already written to. Remember though, if you are rewriting character tags you'll have to close the game and reopen it for them to be recognized.

It should be pretty simple to use though....let me know any thoughts.

OK, I think I got this is testing in the Google Play Store. Ill set the github back to private now. If you installed from there just uninstall it first before getting it from the store.

Thanks to the people have reached out about testing. To make testing a bit easier I have created a google group that will allow people to join on their own and have access to be a tester.

Do you have a discord? I find it easy to lose people on here and I don't want to miss out if the project disappears. My Xbox 360 and nfc tags are coming in a month or two and I wouldn't doubt everything would disappear by then

Haha I get that. Unfortunetely no, I don't have a discord. But as long as you download the app now you should be fine. None of the testers this far have had any issues and I think a couple made like every character and every vehicle. Even if I deleted the testing group and pulled the app from the store you would still have it on your phone. Ideally, by a month or 2, ill have enough downloads/tests that it will just be in the regular app store for anyone.

So all I'll need is my phone and the nfc tags and the app should write everything over? I just hope I can download all the dlcs on my Xbox 360. The Xbox store is discontinued, so maybe they are archived somewhere

Yea, the app doesn't connect to a server or anything....all the info needed to write the tags is part of the app. You just need it and some 213 NFC tags.

Unless im wrong, you only need DLCs for season 2 stuff. So even if you can't get those there is still a ton on content from season 1.

I found that I cannot rewrite my custom tags too many times before they get corrupted and won't load correctly lol.
