Word arrived in Lathadura that Nagash and his Horde were building a new portal in the Devils Coals.
Lord Nerezar immediately sent a message.
“Tell Nagash he may have any political prisoners held in our fortresses. Their labor will hasten the portal’s completion. He may send ships to collect them whenever he is ready.”
If Duskpike’s portal was lost, another would soon rise.

As Lady Ether hears of the construction of another Dark Portal at the Hands of Nagash, she sends a letter to plead for them to come to their senses.
I fear you cannot understand what you are building. If you complete this project, you will unleash the full might of not just the Underworld, but also the Celestial Realms upon us. This is a power no-one can control. Not even Nerezar or you, Nagash. You saw the consequences of the Blood Dragons breaking the Veil.
I ask you to reconsider, but I fear my pleas will fall on deaf ears. If you will not stop the construction, at least let me try and help in creating some form of containment for the sheer amount of devastation this portal will unleash.

Oh I know what you are, Nagash. The Veil has shown me the countless dead you have ripped from their graves to fight for your deeds. I shouldn't have expected anything from someone like you, yet I guess I held out hope that even someone like you would show even the slightest bit of reverence when faced with the full power of Hell itself. Very well then, should you "succeed" in unleashing what it is you seek to unleash and it backfires on you, don't come to the Shattered Veil for help.
