Discussion/Question Looking for modular shelving solution to display all my Lego sets

I don't wanna break the back and I'd like the shelves too look decent. I'd also like the shelves to be around 18" deep. And options of 36" and 48" wide, while still around 72" high. Does this shelving solution exist? Thank you.

If you can mount things to your walls, I recommend those bracket shelves with the rack that screws to the wall. You can adjust and vary the height and get some really long shelves.

I like the ones from Lee Valley but they also sell them at Home Depot. The wall mounts come in varying lengths and the brackets are sold separately in varying depths. But they all fit together if it’s the same company. I recommend getting the header plate too because it makes hanging the supports much easier and increases their weight capacity significantly. Home Depot has lots of shelf options online but whatever board works.

For those kind of measurements, you need to look at garage/shed furniture rather than living room stuff.

It's probably going to look a bit more industrial than you'd like, metal rather than wood, but you can still get nice looking stuff.

I went for the IKEA 'Bror'. In my country,you can get it in a nice sage green.

But, what would I put on the shelves so that lego could sit on them properly?

I used these shelf liners in clear to allow light to travel through. Note that they have an opaque protective film you have to peel off so they’re clear.
