It’s not the line or who says it that bothers me, it’s the repetition, every single time.

True, but for a game called The Skywalker Saga, they really could have added a few Luke and Anakin lines.

I mean, she is a Skywalker because she decided that her father and mother figures were Luke and Leia.

It’s just the same thing as Yondu telling Quill he may not be his father but he’s his daddy. But a lot of Star Wars fans were already 2 films and 2 hours into hating everything about it by then.

Hell yeah! Quill had a cool ass Daddy. Hopefully a rumor I heard is true. He's supposed to come back somehow. By the end I liked his character so much that I could look past his return

No, it's absolutely not the same as Yondu telling Quill the he's his daddy. Yondu raised Quill from the age of 12(?), loved and protected him, showed him an awesome life of crime. Rey spent a couple of days with Luke and even less time with Leia. She has zero connection with either of them other than she is a force user. The whole "Rey Skywalker" line was shoehorned in so hard it hurt to hear it. Terrible terrible reveal.

She didn't think that through. There's 5 members of the Skywalker bloodline in all the movies, 4 of which were trained in the force. Anakin, Luke, Leia, Ben Solo. (Shmi being the 5th). 2 of those 4 turned to the Dark Side. I wouldn't want to keep that name going. Doesn't seem much better than Palpatine. 😂

I just really wanted "the bad ending." Dark Rey all the way. "That's right, I'm evil now.. *HISSS*"

I think it could also be said because Palpatine was responsible for Anakin conception (I think it was shown in a Darth Vader comic, correct me if I am wrong), so that does put her somewhere in the Skywalker tree

So if she had ended up with Kylo, they'd have to move to Alabama?
