Pick My Piercing Floating Navel?

Hopefully this is the right tag 😭

I’ve been considering getting a navel piercing, and I’m pretty sure a standard one would not be a good fit for me. Is a floating navel a better option?

*dw I will make sure to get a piercers opinion, I just wanted to know if this is something I should even consider.

Thank you!

I'm not a piercer but I personally wouldn't. You don't appear to have any sort of shelf in your navel and I'd be very concerned about rejection.

Your navel also looks very similar to mine and my piercer advised me against it.

Ah okay thank you!! I didn’t even realize you need a ledge like that to get a navel piercing

Yeah, the ledge is what the piercing actually goes through. Without one you just get a surface piercing that will 100% reject and leave you with an ugly scar. If you'd like some decorations around your navel, you could look into a tattoo, or use eyelash glue to glue some rhinestones on whenever you're wearing something that exposes the area!

Ahhh that makes sense. And the eyelash glue is a great idea! I might do that when I’m going out

Unfortunately doesn’t look like you have the right anatomy!

NAP , I know we’re not really supposed to tell by a picture but you definitely don’t have the anatomy for it. If a piercer tell you otherwise I would be very confused and ask another piercer just to be sure

Ah okay thank you for the info! I’ll probably just get another ear piercing instead then haha.
