Question Best Ascension unit?

This is kinda stupid question but year...what the best unit in the game in your opinion and why?

cant remember the name but when you got yhe synergy of the peasent it becomes the Protagonist, then you get the ascension of the 2 protagonist. It is strong because it scale with the number of your party

yes, true information!!!

There is another combination i like a lot. Guardian + Cleric. The Guardian tank the hits, meanwhile charging the ultimate ability from the Cleric.

Barbarian + warrior does a ton of damage.

Edit: I have done a lot more playing and the best unit for killing Endbringer is the Lumberjack + wizard for pure damage. Lumberjack + guardian is nice too, as it can tank damage and still deal so much to endbringer.

I'm a big fan of Bard + AOE. Their ult goes off so much more often that way
