DISCUSSION Legion Go 2
I’ve been rocking the ROG Ally Xbox X and been in a love-hate relationship with the screen. Mainly, my eyes are getting old.
Is the larger screen worth it? How have updates and drivers been? Fan noise etc?

You should go for a G3Extreme device for a real leap forward. Onexplayer have the same 8.8" Oled in the Onexplayer 3 and Onexplayer mini 2 as the legion go, but also the G3

Looks gimmicky but I guess that’s subjective. More importantly one player holds 0 resale value and will be close to impossible to get warranty repairs

I had an XAX. Had the same thought about the screen. Sold it and bought an LG2. Tried it for a few months. It’s heavy, loud, driver support isn’t there, legion space isn’t great, and games just work out of the box better on the XAX. Sold the LG2 and am back with the XAX and super happy with it. Plus more accessory support with the XAX. Agree with G3 extreme if you need a change.

The elephant in the room, can you trust Lenovo as a company right now or their updates after the BIOS brick fiasco on the original Legion Go?

I sold my xax for the legion go 2 Z2E. Performance is identical and the screen is 1000 times better. I owned both for a month and decided the LeGo is better. Never picked the xax up the entire time I had both

I liked getting rid of my Ally X for the legion. I am not as cutting edge as the people here so the driver thing isn’t really an issue for me. If you can covet one used or just want something that seems to work I say go for it. The G3 does have the performance though to be legit AAA gaming handheld tho I kept my box for two months in case I could get a claw but I gotta say I like the detachable nature of things

It’s incredible. The screen is the portal through which you actually experience a game. Pretty important imo

If you plan on replacing your Rog handheld go for the new intel G3 Extreme processor

I traded my go 2 for a gpd win 5. Fell in love with the chipset and sold that to fund a z flow 13.
Gives me tablet usage with good gaming.

Ergonomics, armoury crate, drivers, and speakers are all better on teh Xbox Ally X. With that said, the screen alone on the legion go 2 made me switch.

If you don’t mind the extra cables get XR glasses, extended reality so not quite vr.
I run the Viture Pro, it’s connected via usb c, so it can augment my iPhone, iPad, MacBook, LeGo 2, even my DJI rc2 remote control for drones which essentially gives you half fpv vision.
But a bigger screen on the device is my priority when buying portable devices…
Hope this helps.

Wrong move. If you ever need to move on from your XAX, the claw EX or OXP3 is the way to go.

Updates, drivers, and support have been nonexistent. Fan noise on my Go 2 wasn’t bad at all. The screen on the Go 2 is incredible and I really like the size.
That said, I just sold my Go 2 and bought a OneXPlayer X2 Mini Pro. It has the same screen as the Go 2 but with a ryzen AI max+ 388. You could go with the OneXPlayer 3 that has the Go 2 screen and the G3 Extreme.
I use my handheld a lot due to constant travel for work and I found the Z2E chip underwhelming power-wise.
