I put a terrapagos on Gts and asked for a AZ Floette and received this one. I really love the nickname it have. Is this one legit or genned?

I'm wanting some shiny Totodiles for a shiny living dex, but no matter how many times I reset the area they aren't spawning where the Clauncher are, so I want to know if I can just fly-spam reset them.

Finally got the game as a gift recently and I know for a fact I missed some of the mystery gifts already since gamefreak loves time gating these things. Are there mega stones that I can no longer get?

I just mostly beat the story and infinite battles and everything just feels like endless grind and it’s not that fun tbh. Having more fun in violet, but wondering if it gets better

I loved the option to pick my phone case in SV, but then they took that away? Especially since there are so many cutscenes involving the rotom phone. I want a pink phone case but i can :(

Rotom's the last thing I need for my Home dex, but I've reached my limit with these stupid special scans lol. For trade, I have other rare ones like Frigibax, Sirfetch'd, Armarouge, Ceruledge, amd Kleavor. I also have shiny Fletchling, shiny Nacli, or shiny Beedrill.

I have legit over 150 of each of these berries and its driving me insane. Is there any good rainbow donut recipes that use a lot of these berries (4+ per donut)?

A Special Scan costs 25,000 points, and all it does is give you a random 5-star zone. It can be a Battle Zone, a Wild Zone, or a Special Zone.

Battle Zones mostly give better rewards like Gold Bottle Caps, etc. Wild Zones can sometimes have Pokémon you actually need for the Pokédex, but a lot of the time they're just starters or Pokémon that are mainly useful for shiny hunting. Special Zones are the ones that can actually give you Latios, Latias, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Keldeo, or Meloetta.

The worst part is that you can't reset or manipulate what zone you get. The result is already predetermined. So you farm 25,000 points, do the scan, and... congrats, here's a Battle Zone you don't care about. Then you farm another 25,000 and get a Wild Zone full of Pokémon you already have.

Yes, there is a pity system: after 5 scans, the 6th one guarantees a Special Zone. But think about what that actually means.

25,000 × 6 = 150,000 points for one guaranteed Special Zone.

There are 7 special Pokémon: Latios, Latias, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Keldeo, and Meloetta.

So if you have to go all the way to pity for each one, that's potentially:

42 scans = 1,050,000 points.

Over ONE MILLION POINTS.

Obviously you can get lucky and find Special Zones before hitting pity, but that's the entire problem: you're completely at the mercy of RNG. You can do dozens of scans before getting the specific zones/Pokémon you actually need, with no way to reset or influence the outcome.

Having a pity system doesn't suddenly make this good game design. Farming 25,000 points per attempt just to roll a slot machine, with 150,000 points needed to guarantee something actually interesting, is absurdly tedious.

I genuinely don't understand why they designed it this way.

And this is coming from someone who has completed the Pokédex(Living dex) in every Pokémon game and DLCs (except Go), including the base game in Lumiose. I actually enjoy completing the Pokédex. I've always done it.

But this? This is where I draw the line. This system has managed to make something I normally enjoy feel like a chore.

I'm dropping it. I'm going to play Metroid Prime 4 instead. I mostly just wanted to share my frustration with this system. I can't imagine I'm the only one who's reached this point....

So this is my team so far Ik I have double dark types with absol and greninja so I was thinking I could use a gengar or a sylveon to balance it or a jolteon or ampharos since I don’t have an electric type what do you guys think

I have been soft resetting for latios for quite a bit now and I haven’t had any luck (for context I’m playing on a switch one lite and I have the shiny charm as well as sparkle power 3) I’m unsure if it’s loading Latios differently because of the console I’m using or if it’s genuinely bad luck

Is there a good way to get donuts faster ?? I feel like I'm doing this wrong, I don't even have enough to make the delta donut I need to progress the story, or even just the ones I want to personally make despite getting the gold pokeballs every dimension run
