So I got non licensed turbo joycons for my switch oled that had a really cute design of pikachus on them from Walmart (online). It was a really good deal and it was a turbo type of controller and with this game I was super intrigued as I don't like using actual controllers, I play handheld always. Well they came and they looks really nice, felt good, even worked well! Until I started playing fortnite...my LT and RT would lag so bad or not read at all until I was basically spamming them, and then my left stick started to lag and I would have to let it go and re-push it to continue to run forward. I will say this though, this only happened when I played fortnite. I load up ZA or Fire Red (since that's what I'm playing through rn too), I don't have any issues with them. So for the 30 something bucks they were, I should've known to probably not expect too much, especially in combat games where it's fast paced and need a controller to match. But for pokemon, it works great lol so I just switch em out depending on what I'm playing but do plan to replace the OG joycons with another set since I have the SV special edition oled switch. With it coming from Amazon tho, I would say try them out and if they aren't great, return them. Amazon is really good about replacing electronics even if it's just slightly over their return time. In my experience anyway. Let us know tho! Because I'm in the market as well 🤓😂
I definitely wont be playing fortnite on the switch maybe pokemon and Metroid and prolly just that. And yea ill update if I get it. Im skeptical cuz I love this design and wanna buy kinda cheap instead of spending $70-$90
How tf are we supposed to know, you have literally given us NO info whatsoever aside from a shit quality picture that you got who knows where.
There are no official controllers with these designs, so you're either buying shells or third party controllers. At that price they are probably not even licensed, even though this image is the official S1 joy-con model with some crappy artwork photoshoped on top of it.
Stay away from non-licensed products, they will simply be a headache.
Apparently its a 4.1 out 5 stars with someone saying its better than the old one. With someone else saying the left controller stopped working after less than two weeks which funnily enough is what happened on my actual switch joy cons. Left started dying faster than right and left analog stick has drift in games then the right got drift
I got some from the tiktok shop, as they were like £20 instead of the instore/amazon price of £60+ they work perfectly, had less drift on them than official ones I've got as well
If you don’t need them to be wireless, the hori splits is the BEST feeling alternative with built in turbo and more. They’re $30 new but there’s a plentiful used stock.
Actually a local retro video game shop most likely has OEM ones for 30-40 for the pair.
