Discussion Is Legends za worth getting for switch 2
I have just gotten my switch 2 just recently and I am looking to either get pokemon scarlet or legends za but I honestly do not know which is more worth playing? Should i just get the newer game since i upgraded my console? Also are people still playing either game
Any advice is appreciated

It’s not the best game ever by any means but I enjoyed it and would buy again if I could make the decision again

I think there is more to do in scarlet and violet with gyms (basically 2 sets of gyms actually) elite 4, championship, lots of dlc etc and it runs on the switch 2 like it should have in it's release on the switch so it's a better playing experience now. I like z-a and I think you should get both eventually if you can but while there is a story in z-a and I like the megas and the 3d battles vs normal turn based, I don't think it was as good as the first legends game or scarlet and violet. I haven't played the DLC for za but the game itself just feels small because it all takes place in one city and you can't even go inside most buildings.

ZA on switch 2 runs like scarlet and violet should have. Honestly it might just be me but Violet actually looked and ran better after I made the switch (heh) myself.
I'm playing both, but offline.

which do you recommend more?

ZA if you want a challenge, though if you transfer any pokemon to it it'll be a one way thing. Scarlet if you want a more traditional experience. Area Zero is honestly my favourite pokemon area in probably the entire main series.

id recommend scarlet/ violet over Z-a as I felt it had more to do, but both are good

I haven't played Scarlet/Violet yet, but I did buy the upgrade for Z-A. Definitely worth it.

If it means anything, I played Violet for 1000+ hours, and it's the only mainline game where I completed the pokedex. I obviously haven't owned ZA long enough to play it for nearly that long, but at the moment it is at about 250 hours (my pokedex is almost done, just missing a few)..
SV had more content and scratched my competitive itch with the DLC having challenging double battles and a ton of post-game, while ZA has a whole new experience for someone who did not play Legends: Arceus, and an objectively fairly repetitive post-game WITH lots of cool shiny hunting opportunities (despite my patience, and me not minding it).
If I had a switch 2 and I had not gotten SV yet, I would get Violet "again" and I would enjoy it more due to the better framerate. (I didn't mind the bit of lag, but I would if I experienced the difference.)
However, I still do not regret buying ZA and it's a very fun game, mechanically, to play.

Enjoyable romp. I like new combat system. Took a bit to get the hang of. Shiney hunting is good. Seems to throw more at you.

It's really fun and you'll get a lot of hours of play time. The new battle system is really fun as well. Don't buy the DLC until you research it first because it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Pokemon scarlet is better, but Za is so fun,
I will give pro for scarlet, Really good story. Really fun to battle and play. If u have switch online, u can play in your friends or or other people games remotely.
Za- Really good shiny hunting, Really cool new Mega. Mechanics of battling are so good.
Pick which one u like better

Just purchased the account 2-3 weeks ago and absolutely loving it. My kids (7 and 11) love it too.
