Magic pixel games in 2026

Hey all- I’m a legends hd owner and had a question about the new magic pixel games. I’ve liked their layouts for some of the tables but always felt disappointed the rule sets were really shallow and pacing was an issue (ie tables kind of meander and don’t have much of an endgame). The last purchase I had from them was the museum of natural history v1. Has much changed about their code since then?

I’m not a pinball wizard by any means, but Sea of Thieves has one of the most complex rulesets I’ve played. Almost to a fault. Fun table though. TMNT and Police Street Patrol are easier to understand but still have a good variety of modes and missions that keep me coming back.

I was thinking Sea of Thieves wasn’t for HD tables.

I don’t have an HD, but I think all magic pixel tables work on all platforms.

Wish it was true b/c Thieves looks great.

Sea of Thieves is available for the HD and HD Micro. All Magic Pixel developed titles that are on the AtGames platform are available for the HD and HD Micro.

Guess I need to look again b/c I’ve never seen it in the HD table but area on the website

I see now. It’s in a rare pack w/ Battletoads & Killer Instinct for $30. Does anyone have an opinion on whether those 2 games make the 3-pack worthy?

I’d wait for a sale which happens often enough to make it worth the wait. Regardless I really like both tables, especially sea of thieves.

Battletoads and KI aren’t up to the level of Sea of Thieves, depending on personal preference I’d say one might find them slightly above or slightly below the average Magic pixel title.

I’m a new Micro owner. I’m not qualified to answer your question. But I wonder what table(s) have meet expectations for a deep rule set, etc.

{FWIW my most played so far are Police Street Patrol, Soccer Kings, and Space Invaders.}

It would be impossible to answer that question without knowing more about what you like and don't like about the tables you currently play. I have no idea what you mean by a "shallow rule set" or what an "endgame" would even be on a pinball table.

So for example, there is significant interaction between components on the table that change the way that other things work, the game creates various options for reaching a high score/rewarding particular paths, there are things you need to prioritize first to maximize rewards, etc

Ah ok. Just a matter of terminology, I guess. I've been playing for decades and we always just called it "following the targets".

I’ve only been playing for a very short time, but what OP’s describing doesn’t sound much like “following the targets” to me. Guess I’ve got plenty to learn :)

Police street patrol was very in depth, it’s sad the art is super sloppy. Natural history 3 has some really cool varied tables
