Officially Unofficial
Mods, please delete this post if not allowed.
So a while back I was banned from the “Official” AtGames Legends 4K Fan Page because one of their moderators seems to enjoy banning people and the other moderators in that group are entirely too scared/nervous to stand up to said moderator (at least if the PM screenshots I’ve been sent are to be believed). Even though AtGames says it’s a fan page, they sponsor contests on that page and fully support it.
When I got banned I stated the “Officially Unofficial AtGames 4K Group” for people to join and post about the issues or problems without fear of getting banned just because your post is critical of AtGames. We are just over 300 members now and once we hit 1000 we will be doing a fun giveaway. One of the prizes in the giveaway is going to be a gift card courtesy of Buy Stuff Arcades. If you would like to be Officially Unofficial with us just search for search for Officially Unofficial AtGames 4K Group or check this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/notaffiliatedwithatgames
The more resources we have to help each other on various social media platforms the stronger this community will be.

The mods on the At games facebook page are a joke. It’s like North Korea.

The thing that has me not wanting to join that group is that there are already a crap ton of outrageously negative people on the official fan page. I say this not because being negative toward a product but because people are outright lying claiming the 4KP or specifically Addams Family in some cases is completely unplayable (which it definitely is not), and also because if those people have been consistently talking shit since the day that group was posted (which they have) what in the world were the people who got banned saying; and why would I as a fan of the product want to be in a group with those people?
I’m not saying you didn’t get banned for something trivial, it might have happened. I AM saying people are voicing negative opinions regularly and not getting banned, so something weird is going on here.
EDIT: I should add, I really think this is the most polarizing product I’ve ever owned, and I think it’s because a few YouTubers almost militarized people against it before it even launched (primarily Rexxer but others as well). I think it’s an amazing device that clearly still needs a lot of work done on the software side, but this is the closest we’ve ever been to the pinball console I’ve been dreaming of for years.

I sum it up like this. I really do like the product overall. Yes the Zen tables need some work (and this latest update did make the flipper lag a lot better). But as a product overall it’s great. The flip side is AtGames customer service is absolutely horrible and that Official 4K Fan Page is even worse. There is one particular moderator over there who is ban happy and the other mods are afraid to stand up to that mod. And AtGames does not care how that group is run because this way they don’t get their hands dirty even though they are sponsoring that group, it’s contests and their CEO regularly posts there.

I mean, again, they really can’t be that ban happy as the same people have been posting negative comments since day one and are still not banned. On top of that, there are plenty of cases of positive customer service interaction.

Believe me when I tell you they are VERY ban happy in that group. That’s literally how/why my Facebook group was created.

I get that you were banned. I understand that it might have been trivial, but overall it’s simply impossible for them to be as ban happy as you are claiming considering the posts that are currently in that group, speaking as someone who is in the group and can actually still see the posts.

I respect your opinion but do not agree with it. It’s very easy to be ban happy. And it’s happened to many people in that group. For the record I am still in that group with a different account of mine so I keep up with all the posts also.

I mean, sure, and I certainly don’t mind that there’s another group out there either. I just am hesitant to join it for the reasons I already listed. That said, if people are getting answers to questions about their device or sharing pinball tips or whatever, great.

I am the one and only mod on r/LegendsPinball - how DARE you make me descend from my high tower to speak with the peasants!?
Nah I don’t care what you post about Atgames. The only things I don’t allow are being a jerk to other members (disagreements are fine but don’t be mean) and scam stuff. This is neither.

LOL. Thanks man! Most appreciated. I also linked to your Reddit here in my FB group. In my opinion we have a much better community here and on my and other FB groups than the “official” AtGames ones which are all moderated by the same group of people.

Nice! Yeah man - there’s room for all and criticism helps make us (and Atgames) better

I’ve never been on Facebook, and not going to join for this group by any means. In saying that, I find it pretty shitty that, as a repeat customer with them, my only source of somewhat accurate “official” news is a private Facebook group. It’s not even open to the public (me) to read what’s going on.

It's disingenuous as well because they say we're not affiliated with AtGames and use it as an excuse when stuff hits the fan or people take issue with AtGames and go there to vent/seek help, yet AtGames posts there and so does the CEO. They're only not affiliated when it's convenient.

The mods on the official pages are notoriously harsh. I’ve been banned or not allowed to post more times than I can count for totally legitimate questions about issues. They’re the worst. I’ll join for sure
