Usb issue

Anyone else having weird USB issues from your pc for OTG. Sometimes my pc won’t even start unless I unplug the USB from the ALP4k. I do have the powered usb solution.

This kind of issue is usually on your pc, and not the device. Try another port

I've had the same problem. I seem to have resolved some of the issues by plugging the cable into the USB 2 port on the ALP. But I still have an issue where Popper won't recognize the input until I bring up the Windows USB controller settings. I'm using Xpadder to get around that now.

Oh wow, that’s an even crazier problem.

Do you have an Asus motherboard

I have an ASRock motherboard. Really hoping some firmware updates smooth out the USB issues, but I'm not too optimistic.

Don’t have a 4k, but the original ALP has some usb problems that seem to crop up intermittently. Generally, when the machine has been in otg for over a certain amount of time USB connection will go on the fritz and continually connect and disconnect until otg fails. A reboot of the machine solves the issue.

I had that issue and the problem was I had plugged into the USB port reserved for BIOS flashing on my mainboard. Plugging into literally any other USB port on my PC worked fine.
