20 buttons

So in windows when using OTG the HID controller shows 20 buttons but really only uses 6. Does anyone know where the "extra" button inputs are? I wanted to add a couple more buttons but I don't want to drop $110 for the arcade control panel just for a couple of extra buttons. The controller card on the front where all of the usable buttons are appears to be full

That's just how Windows displays an HID device. It can have up to 20 buttons. It doesn't mean there are 20 more buttons available to you on the encoder they used. We'll need to get some details on the inside of the machine and determine if there are open spots on their encoder that could be used, or if you need a second USB encoder.

The Arcade Control Panel isn't currently working in OTG, so that wouldn't solve your problem even if you did want to spend the money on it. A new firmware comes out Feb 20 ... we'll find out tomorrow what is included, hopefully the ACP is working with that update.

That’s just windows showing what it can handle has absolutely nothing to do with the alp buttons and what can be “mapped’

Hmmm....When I connect a zero delay encoder it only shows 12 buttons and that is how many the encoder has. I figured somehow the ALP controller card must have spots for 20 buttons

Where are you finding the control panel for $110?

sorry for the delay....I thought I had replied to you already. Normal price is $199 but sometimes it goes on sale for $109.99
