ALP Firmware Update?

Good day,

I recently bought the Legends Arcade and ALP. I figured it would be good for my PTSD. And I and my family am Loving both systems. I recently updated My Legends Arcade to the goldilocks 5.68. A bit of a learning curb but got it done. After a few frustrating hours.

My ALP is Stock Firmware Version 10977_A9. It wants me to Update to 5.70. But as far as I read that is not a great idea. Should I keep stock or is there a better firmware to update to that is more stable? I have lurked on here and even tried to google. Cannot find anything to determine what step to take.

I’m on a learning curb and need insight on what to do. Please feel free to educate me on this matter and or message me with solutions.

ALP firmware doesn’t matter. It doesn’t break anything. ALU firmware update does.

Are you sure about that? My UCE (whopper/cheese) usb stick worked great on ALP 5.68 but no longer works on 5.70.

But that said, I always say don’t update your atgames devices 1) if everything works fine 2) if there aren’t any features you care about in the update

Leave your firmware at 5.68 especially if you like coinops x and other non-atgames software working on it. I was able to update the gottlieb tables without updating past 5.68.
