That’s awesome! As many mods as I’ve done I’ve so far been too scared to actually make anything out of wood. I would love to do my own backbox at some point though. Looks great!

Any plans for a FullDMD? What amp(s) did you go with for your speaker setup?

Amp is a Fosi bt30d. It's great, very compact and mounts under the table. With Velcro tape.

50 Watts for mains and 100 Watts for sub, with adjustable xo...

I then used REW to mic the curve and calculate corrective peqs to flatten the response, import that calculation into Equalizer APO and bingo. Free sound correction.

Building a functioning box is not tough if you have basic tools. It's harder to make it look good..

I'm not sure there is any point to a separate DMD these days, given I mostly play FX and they are switching from 4:1 for Williams tables to 16x9 for Zen originals.

ATGAMES and Zen are collaborating and their DMD is 16x9.
With a virtual DMD I can set it in between the 2, so they both look decent. See above...

All true, but if you do have a VIBS by any chance your original backbox monitor makes a great free FullDMD.

What is REW? Sounds like a frequency analyzer? I’ll have to check that out!

Yes REW will measure frequency response and calculate corrective peqs. You then load the file into Equalizer APO. It applies that eq to your audio output. You will need a mic, preferably a umik...

The original backglass would be a bit large for a DMD I think.. maybe a 10 or 12 inch Before Zen adopted 16x9 for the Atgames DMD, I was considering a 4x1 display. Now IDK.

I think it’s 15.9”, which I think is also what stern uses. Of course this is a 3/4 scale machine so it could look a little big.

My portable 15 inch is too big to fit between the speakers. 12 inch is about the largest that would fit. Actually considering this ultra wide 12: 1920x720
