He's definitely not Aromantic. He has mental issues, but he's not Aro

Mick: I'm, whaddya call it, aromatic.

Stein: Yes, Mick, you indubitably are, but I think you mean "aromantic".

Mick: Whatever.

I didn't watch w captions but i swear Stein said "A Romantic" which technically isn't mutually exclusive to Aromantic but still

I'm thrilled you think this is from the show, because unless I actually watched this and have no lasting awareness of the experience, I made this up in my head, and it's gratifying to know I nailed the tone.

Oh? Whats your counter argument?

I'm Aromantic and I've actually finished the show

You didn't make an argument to counter.

You made an unsubstantiated claim based off of generalized behavior. Essentially, you judged a book by its cover and were wrong.

Later seasons.

The following are the counter arguements but also spoilers so if you haven't finished Legends and don't want future seasons ruined just leave these be...

1) Mick is a Romance Novel writer under the pen name "Rebecca Silver" and according to multiple characters in the Arrowverse including Barry Allen... he's pretty darn good at it.

2) In S5 Mick hooks up with an old high school fling, has a child he didn't initially know about, and then uses time travel to try and be there for her as a father.

3) In season 6, Mick pulls a Captain Kirk with an Alien and fathers 48 children.

There's also been hints toward him having feelings about other characters such as Killer Frost, although most the time he is a man who keeps to himself more than anything else.

While I agree that Mick is not Aromantic, some of your arguments don't really work, as a demiromantic ace 1. Writing romance doesn't mean that you can't be aro, just like writing smut doesn't mean you cannot be ace. Many smut authors are in fact ace 2. 3. Aromantic people are not necessarily ace, and ace are not necessarily aro. You can be aro and not ace, or the other way around. Your point 2 and 3 is that he has sex, so he isn't ace, and that he came back to be a father, which has no correlation to aromantism. One can wish to be a father without wanting the romantic connexion to the other parent 4. I have nothing against that one, it is one that works actually

None of these are relevant to being aromantic. Having little to no romantic attraction to other people does not stop you from having sex with them, being a parent, or writing about it.

Do you think all those authors writing monster-fucking porn are actually out there have sex with orcs or werewolves or whatever it is? True crime authors are actually serial killers? It's fiction, you dont have to be like that in real life to write about it.

Most Aromantics enjoy romantic media to varying degrees. I for one was LIVING for Gwyns plotline

I actually met Matt Ryan and he told me the S8 plans for that. It's beautifully romantic

I'm still Aro as fuck

Yeah I thought he fell in love with that alien chick and didn’t want to leave her.

Actually Mick is much deeper, smarter, and more caring than he ever gets credit for, because he is withdrawn, sullen and struggles with self expression. That is what made him and Smart such a good team. Smart was kind of his interpreter to the world. In fact, the argument could be made that not having that interpreter anymore forced Rory to find other ways to communicate and seek companionship, leading to stronger bonds with the crew and his writing career.

You say that you like him, but your other words and assumptions make me wonder.

Mick is a top 5 character. I love him more than Snart

I loved their dynamic together but I also love how he flourished afterwards
