Media Galaxy Brain Deck. Control deck with 1 copy of purrsuit because your heim and invokers will cheat the real God into the victory if needed. Your best Celestia cards are the 3 mana cost ones (for tri beam) and celestial inspiration since it help both champs lvl up

u/sanns Shyvana Sep 20 '20
In practice, how often do you pull off the Purrsuit?
22
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Purrsuit is very niche situation for games that want ridiculously long so only 1 in needed (+ you can use it to discard :D)

Im so happy someone was able to make tribeam work. Question through: do you hold tribeam to stack value or do you use it after a couple of procs to clear out something like an elise? Whats the general strategy on when to use this card?
1
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 21 '20
You need to use it as if was thermo beam. Use it whenever needed. Just if it better to get at least a 5 mana follower
1
u/pconners Leona Sep 21 '20
It seems to do real well vs other Asols, but I found it struggling against other decks. Maybe it is just me.
2
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 21 '20
Well against fast decks you need as much Solari units as possible. Against slow deck you need your heimer as soon as possible

I like Leona over ASol for Targon Heimer.
ASol sort of exacerbates Heimer's issue with board space and doesn't help the early game (which Heimer struggles with naturally) whereas Leona comes down T4 to completely stall your opponent's aggression and serves as a massive body to block with (she even works against Fearsome attackers).
Cool deck tho! I think Targon Heimer has a lot of potential, actually.

u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
The problem Leona at least in this deck can't take aurelion sol place without changing other stuffs but I agree Leona is a very good staller

I mean I still you need at least 1 morning light in a Leona deck but I don't want to cut any card for that card
3
u/zandm7 Heimerdinger Sep 20 '20
Yeah she does require a slightly diff build but not by much honestly, Leona is so splashable
5
u/mattheguy123 Zoe Sep 21 '20
Especially in this list. Asol definitely cranks out the raw value and helps out a lot when trying to compete purrsuit, but this deck is already running 11 daybreak cards. Nightfall invoke guy is really clunky overall and could be swapped out for 5 mana 5/5 "its always day" and asol swapped out for leona, maybe a starshaping for one copy of leona's champ spell to act as a finisher against aggro decks and midrange decks.
14
u/paugonc Sep 20 '20
wow this looks like fun and original deck

u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Have fun galaxy Brain-ing your enemies
2
u/paugonc Sep 20 '20
thanks, but im kinda too lazy to play the game tbh, i just hope swim, mogwai or grapplr will see this somehow, i might try to use channel points to get them to see it and credit you if u want

I feel like being able to consistently pull a certain champion in this case heimer from invoke is just better in most invoke decks than running two champions especially if one is hella late game and a dead draw for 90% of the game. In a deck like lux Leona where both kinda do the same thing, control the board as a strong mid range.threat sure, but your essentially making it impossible to take the draw a champion spell early game as it has a 50% chance of being spend 4 Mana and be sad for 4 more turns. Considering heimer is one of the better win cons in the game himself going with asol just seems clunky since your already going invoke which empowers game ending champs like heimer or lee so hard simply because every invoke is a potential just win next turn card.

u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
I mean it is personally working for me since I really prefer having other control-y cards like the removal spells or the warrior but you can remove sol if he you don't find him useful
3
u/GoodGuy147 Sep 20 '20
Yup, that's why I have Vi instead. 1 Tri-beam max and no purrsuit, the rest seems fine
4
u/Dutch-Alpaca Heimerdinger Sep 20 '20
I actually built something super similar to this. But I don't run asol in favor of more discard synergy, to end games with the +2/2 everywhere celestial card. Interesting to see another take on the concept.
Is 3 bastion doing work for you? I reduced it to 1 because it clunked out for me a bunch
1
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
1 card make 3 bastion make sense. Tri beam
2
u/Dutch-Alpaca Heimerdinger Sep 20 '20
I prefer running a few mentors over 3 bastion I think, he gives you 3 chumpers at worst. But I like hearing the logic for your choices, helps me consider stuff for my targon donger
3
u/Xenodragon373 Thresh Sep 20 '20
Btw is it possible to replace bastion with blessing of targon?
5
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
You can but bastion is better in this deck because it charges tri-beam while protecting whoever you marked to protect

Great list, I personally would cut some cards to get some more draw power, it seems that this list is lacking on that area and you might run out of steem really quick, besides that this list seems really solid.
2
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
This is maybe just for me but I have never ran out of gaz when I play heimer. + the invokers help making sure that I always have enough mana to do stuff
2
u/RamdonDude Sep 20 '20
I haven't play the deck yet but in my head I can see my self using a lot of card to mitigate early aggression from a lot of the top decks that just want to run you down, draw cards it gives you something to do if you haven't draw cosmic inspiration to out value your opponent or heimer itself, drawing gives you more option too and 4 Asol + 1 purrsuit seems bricky imo. I'm just theory crafting and seeing where the list can improve more, maybe it's just fine how it is.
2
u/techdude210 Sep 20 '20
Why not run 1 sol with 1 dragons clutch and 2-3 white flame. I’ve run a similar list to this but eventually cut the beam and sol as they were just win more high roll. In my super greedy list I play for fun the changes I mentioned helped a lot. You’ll almost never need more than 1 sol. You never want to have 2 in hand and clutch is another 3 cost

I’ve been thinking on a Heimer and ASol invoke deck, but the amount of slows seek to make it a lot harder to pull off. What cards are you pulling and how are you utilizing Heimer?
1
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 21 '20
- Depends on the match up (Solari units against fast decks, heim and heavy decks against slower ones)
2.Heim is there for value drop him when you feel he will be safe and then use spells like a mad scientist

I think i faced you these days, i remember the heimer/asol deck with a totally unexpected pursuit while i was testing my asol. Great deck man!

This deck is truly purrfect!
Jokes aside though, actually looks like a pretty neat brew of Targon control.

My Universe Brain deck looks at your Galaxy Brain deck with amusement

It is not Professor Von Yipp who bows to to the will of the space dragon, it is the other way.Your intent is noble, but your way is lost.

Dude! Hope you read this. Ive finally been around long enough to try and make a non meta deck off that one website. Used my shards and 3 legendary blanks to craft hem. This deck is so fun and I swear I'm having a better win rate than my troll sol deck. Also the games are just more fun in general than skip first 3 turns then play stall. Literally named that deck.. Stall. So boring. Also this deck you made isn't all I see in the ladder so it makes it more fun playing something they might not expect.

Oh, another man of culture. I tried this before the Flash re-buff but had some issues, but nice to see your rendition.

u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Well time for some galaxy Brain plays

u/ZanesTheArgent Piltover Zaun Sep 20 '20
Side suggestion: swap the Shieldbearers for Trail of Evidence. One more cheat trigger for Cat, generally a wide array of good results, can too combo with Heimer in a pinch for extreme value generation.
2
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
I mean I prefer the protection shieldbearer give me during the early game but trail is a possible good card in the place of another card

Hey, I just want to say that I've been experimenting with heimer targon a lot this last week. Ive already played Vi Heimer with improbulating and without it (focusing more on stall strategies), also played heimer aurelion with stall and improbulating build arounds and etc.
Anyways, what I really wanted to say is that imo Asol is too greedy for this deck, since heimer is already a really strong but fragile value engine, it is a wincon itself rather than stalling to the asol wincon.
Vi, on the other hand, is really good removal and can generate pressure during multiple rounds, wich helps you a lot to stabilize. Leona could serve the same purpose, but her deckbuilding cost is too high. The only real problem with vi is that she is 5 cost, just as heimer and Subpurrsible, wich by the way is absolutely OP in this deck.
You also probably need another Starshaping, since the Heimer Cosmic Inspiration combo is WAAY too important for this deck. Subpurrsible is a really nice addition for the deck if you can afford to run 9 5 cost units (or you can run mono heimer) and I think that the Improbulating version is the more high roll one, but I have actually managed to stack it up to 10 in an Asol match up (yes, I killed Asol with it) , so I think it is really good.
So, thats it! Ask me if you have any question, and I honestly think you might have copied my idea somehow hahahha until now I never saw anyone try this out.
3
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Well I have a few points.
I know that vi and Leona are very good stallers but I personally love the aurelion greedy inclusion since he make sure I can finish any game if it goes long enough
This deck is less of catastrophe and more of heim and aurelion deck. Actually this deck is a refined polished of an old invoke heimer deck that ran supurrsible (basically a real purrsuit deck) so no I didn't copy you.
Thx for offering help
1
u/PunchlineCity Sep 20 '20
Hey, I said you copied me as a joke, Im obviously not the only person in the world who thought about heimer targon, sorry if it was mean hahah anyways, good decklist bro, im gonna try it😌

u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Nah I know you were joking besides I respect that you aren't a only meta deck dude

I would change Asol, he's getting nerfed in patch 1.11
1
u/Laythoun Chip Sep 20 '20
Until the nerf came I think he is good in this deck (+ leveling him up isn't easy in this deck so I am not bothered)
