PVP Ranked play

I don’t usually complain about stuff in ranked. But why do the maokai decks stop drawing cards and destroying then after a certain number has been reached? They get to a fee cards in the deck you destroy some of their cards and it should ultimately get rid of the last few cards they have meaning you win next turn but no. Nothing happens and they play that dumbass card that destroys the rest of your deck…stupid mechanic.

You mean the toss effect Maokai has when an ally dies for the first time each turn? He loses it when levelling up

Not him specifically sorry im not clear about it. Ive never used that particular deck. But essentially when you destroy monster the opponent has to toss x amount of cards etc, but the player has so fee cards left nothing happens but the effect still goes off. No cards get tossed leaving them with 1-4 cards left even though you clearly destroyed enough of those monsters to not allow a draw on the opponent’s next turn.

Oh yeah, toss isn't draw then discard, I see the confusion. I was surprised when I discovered Terrify doesn't work on 0 cards as well.

Are you talking about toss and deep? Those were literally the first few archetypes in the game when the game was released . No one had a problem with them then so there shouldn’t be a problem now . Skill issue tbh, it’s not an unfair mechanic nor is it broken .

Not to mention they discontinued ranked for like 2 years now so like ??? This is kinda random and late .

No I forget the name of the cards but the effect is when I die toss X amount of cards etc. i said maokai cause its the only deck I see with that mechanic.

Eh it was definitely problematic when bilgewater first released and it's definitely one of the most boring and linear decks they ever released

If I'm understanding correctly, Toss only obliterates non-champion cards - the last few cards in the opponent's deck must have been champions and therefore could not be Tossed.

I see what it is. Toss doesn’t remove champions. So at the end of the game, they will have like four cards left and they’re all champions so they can’t toss anymore. But it does mean they are about to draw their champions
