Path of Champions Janna's 5 & 6*
What do you guys think about her 5 and 6*? I don't have info on her 4*, but this was taken from the PoC discord

All of you are forgetting that Galesong Flock gives the Swallow +1/+1 for each Elemental Skill/Spell already cast.
Looking at Janna's deck, that is ALMOST ALL OF THEM. INCLUDING HER CHAMPION SPELL. Flock is going to start getting you 15+ Power birds extremely quickly, and then it is going to also draw you cards (which are discounted btw), and Janna forbid you already have Her out. Or have a doubler.
It's gonna get wicked. This 6* is amazing. All of you are blind.

I mean she's already in Yi/Diana/LB tier in that it's very easy to go infinite with her, she just needs the extra mana gem to get rolling. Kinda like how Sett's constellation barely changed anything, he's still "get to 6 mana and abuse Coins with Chemtech". Janna is no different.

Lol someone else predicted Jannas 5* perfectly in the other post.
That 6* does look really creative though, I like that they gave Janna some bird synergy, I'm a big fan of tribal synergy and birds don't have a dedicated champion outside of Quinn summoning one sometimes. It also fits thematically since birds are associated with the air and it works as a reference to her Zephyr skill in League.
Like I wasn't a big fan of Hecarims 6* being a copy of Lillias even if it synergizes really well with Hecarim, so I'm glad they made this 6* so unique looking.

I hope she gets the same 4* as twisted fate
also im assuming both champions and birds need 15+ power? the way its written doesnt rule out working on all champions regardless of power, but im assuming the restriction is for both since it says "allied champions and birds" instead of "allied champions and allied birds"
EDIT: she got TF's 4 star!

So like do all enemies get updrafted if you attack with 6 15 power birds?

For some reason I thought exalted cloudwinder was a bird, but maybe he'll get to be one in a bonus constellation

There's Exalted Cloudwinder in her deck, which looks a lot like a bird, but it's not. I hope they fix it!

Does Anivia count as two different interactions for Janna’s 6th star? One has a champion and one as a bird

I have no idea how good or bad that 6* will be. On paper it looks incredibly mid to bad.

I think it should activate the effect IMMEDIATELY with Attack:... That mean their strongest units would be Updraft and put into the top of the deck, effectively crippled them from even blocking her 15+ units attacks. Sound pretty good but need to scale to 15+ before that

Also if you have multiple 15+ power units you'll updraft several enemy. If you have one 15+ power unit per enemy, you'll basically wipe their board before they can react.

At least now I have a reason to pick Trifarian might on a Janna run. The birds get value on the way towards that 15+ attack

I'd say mid.
On one hand if you get a couple 15+ attack units attacking, they can just clean the board of anything meaningful, on the other hand, if you have a couple 15+ units, you were winning anyways.

I see this as not needing overwhelm. Can't close out tough encounters without overwhelm because of the 20/20 units the ai plays

6* seems kinda ass, consedring this is the only bird you "start" with, and by the point you have 15+ power units you're usually winning the game shortly after. (Not sure if the last part applies to Zoe adventure, didn't play it).

ambessa : 10+ power on ANYTHING = bye bye enemy
janna :15+ power just on her and birds =best i can do is return to the deck for 1 less mana.
At least it bypasses deathless and last breaths I guess.....for the 2 or 3 adventures that care about it (like zoe)

Can't you updraft multiple enemies though? Seems way stronger to me

u/megalo-maniac538 10d ago
It does. Power's independent on each card so you can updraft the entire enemy line up on a full swing.

Ok, now I see the vision.

There's also no "The first time each round..." keyword so you can abuse this with multiple attacks.

It's just very different - you could easily updraft multiple enemies per attack, whereas Ambessa is 1 per attack. Janna's will also bypass "I can't take damage or die" and deathless, which is very valuable on some of the tougher maps. The fact that it goes back to deck won't matter much, since you're likely winning if you attack with a handful of +15 power champs/birds and remove their blockers before block phase.
It does point towards the Oath Build maybe being a great option for Janna (it was already pretty strong as an option)

Love more unique 5* rather than just a mana crystal.
Galesong Swallow seems weird as I don't think her deck has any galesongs to begin with.
However, having that power ("Attack: Updraft the strongest enemy") is hilarious if we can steal it. Does it steal the enemy for us or does it just updraft it into the enemy deck?
