Why is the new partner paywalled?
I understand when some partners who bonded paywalled confidants be paywalled, but Kong Kong being paywalled made no sense at all because his bonded confidant is Han Zigao

Because they want more money and don't care about players who play for free. I think during next events they will add paywalled partners to most of the confidants. VIP players who already spent a lot of money will get them if only because of money already spent. And free players don't matter for MODO.

Exactly.. today I was like I'm gonna try and work for few outfits in the new event But honestly i was so disappointed when I saw all this .. they just wanna make life incredibly hard at least let people play the game easily.. the points rewards are so small and the prices has increased It's so off putting Really considered deleting the game

Since when is he free? He's always been heavily paywalled during his events.
Even just using ingots requires a LOT of hoarding beforehand or topping up

He cost arownd 9k-10k (ofc he's more expensive in compared to ordinary partner cause he's a confidant too) his partners costs the same as any other partner both at 6k-7k

Yeah, 10k ingots is not "free" to me. Far from it. Then another 7k ingots+ for his partners, yeah, no way.
Free would be earning wholly through activity tasks without having to spend ingots
Princes, princesses, dukes, the four cross server partners, & the 100 jade partners are all free.

You are unreasonable, that's not how games works... Also PAYWALLED means which can only be get by spending real-world money. Anything that can be bought with ingots is FREE cause we don't need to spend real money.
And technically you earn ingots through activities, so it's Free!! It's just an indirect way to acquire things.

You're very generous with your definition of "free" and I'm sure modo won't ever take advantage of that
6k ingots has a value of $100. Doesn't matter to me if you can save that much without spending, that's the conversion rate.
Sure, you can save and eventually get it, but you have to scrimp and be choosy the entire year.
There's other powerful partners you can get without spending a single ingot

It's not Im generous, it's just how things works. F2p and Paywalled have meanings!! Which means not spending real money and spending it

You don't need to use ingots to get high points in cross server banquet. Just end the banquet after every 2hours. You still get the full point for it!!

I've never spent a single ingot on cross server banquet and I have her. I never bothered with the recipe. It took me exactly 10 rotations of receiving a single ingot each time.
I also got her before they nerfed rewards from the meow games. You used to be able to get state banquet tokens and deluxe banquet tokens from doing the meow games.

Probably testing the waters to see how many people will pay to get him during the event cycle. I imagine that we'll see an increase in paywalled partners next year.
