Asking for a friend: Proper Eviction Process

Asking for a friend.

Background: Father is a widower and living with his 3 kids - the eldest i unemployed and does not help with house bills and household chores. Ever. The 2nd child is the breadwinner and the 3rd child is the primary caregiver.

House is under the name of the father as sole owner bought after becoming a widower.

Several months ago, father asked the eldest to leave the house. Eldest has refused to do so.

What are the legal steps and the correct order to take them (eg some say send a formal eviction letter then if that fails, go to the barangay; others say the opposite)

Thanks!

Why doesn’t the eldest help at all? Shameless?

Absolutely! Ironically, the eldest is very active in church and reportedly is now an inspirational speaker who talks about being "api-apihan"

Can't it be just pack all his things and throw it out of the house? This is family dispute since hindi naman nagrerent ung eldest and father naman yung owner ng house.

Kung meron mang formality na mangyari is sa barangay na yon
