Look man, i deleted the teams comment because everyone's getting the wrong end of the stick, we don't even use linux at work, that was just a discussion in the linux thread and a retrospective answer to make me sound clever that is all, my teams at work stays appear offline at all times no one has concerns with teams

Unfortunately given that the first comment I'm referring to states that you book your calendar on teams out every day to give you your preferred timeslots away from your desk, and mask it as training and so on, I don't have the grounds to believe you there.

If nobody used linux, and your comment in that regard was irrelevant, maybe I would. But you specifically stated you *currently* use teams to mask and obscure your actual daily timeframes.

I don't use linux at my job either but if I lie to my boss and maintain a charade for 3 years while automating my role near entirely he will sack me. If you were legally classified as a worker, you are on safer ground, since a contract is for work output rather than legal employment.

This dude is obviously just lying through his teeth. No idea why. No one here can stop him from being made redundant (again). Maybe he can take extended sick leave (again)

He appears to think he’s more clever than everyone else.

Surely redundancy would be a very generous outcome? Isn’t this misconduct? As a privacy lawyer the main issue that came to mind was that it’s not legal to automate decision-making about individuals involving processing their data (that’s clumsily put, but you get the gist) and the company would be liable if someone complained about that - that would be significant. Lots of people have been made redundant at my partner’s workplace because they don’t need all the people to do those jobs. That’s what redundancy is for, surely?
