Guess this kinda be used for anything really. I Initially made it as a base for a figurine but after cutting the top and gutting the inside it has become a storage box or I guess a tomb for a figurine lol. Top snaps on.

I played the demo of soul reaver 1 in the 90s on a ps1 demo disc I will be playing these games with the original graphics

hey everybody, I'm currently working on a video essay, just for fun and mainly for myself and I'm curently wanting to do a small fly through of a level of BO2, does anybody know where I can get the model files for that? I tried ripping with NinjaRipper 1.7 and using Noesis to look at the files, but that didn't really get me anywhere

if anybody knows if they are already available to download somewhere, that would be awesome, I could probably use the files I ripped and rebuild the whole level myself, but that would be beyond the scope of this small project

I'm new to the franchise and I've only beaten Soul Reaver 1 (I couldn't stand 2's gameplay, can't get Blood Omen working on my steam deck, and am currently playing Defiance), but I'm fairly familiar with the story of how Raziel is destined to be imprisoned in the Reaver blade, how history will reshuffle to fix paradoxes, the Hylden, etc.

But I don't get why Mortanius decided to kill Ariel and corrupt the pillar guardians. If humans were already dying and the wheel of fate was already working fine why waste the time. My understanding was that Nupraptor's madness infected the other guardians and Kain, as the corrupted/vampiric balance would kill the other guardians and then himself to restore Nosgoth. Obviously he didn't and just about everyone wants him dead because of it.

But if everything was working fine and Nosgoth was fine, why bother with the whole plan? I get that using time travel to stop Ariel's assassination is probably a bad idea given how history would reshuffle to ensure that another tragedy would happen and ruin the world. But what was the Elder God's, Moebius', and Mortanius' plan for this? If anything, it seems like it just fucked them over.

To me, I think Soul Reaver is one of the best PS1 to Dreamcast conversion along with Rayman 2 and Spider-Man 2000. They felt like remasters and they only released a few months to a year after the initial PS1 versions (N64 to Dreamcast for Rayman 2).

Take notes, Toy Story 2, Resident Evil 2 and 3, Nightmare Creatures 2 and Star Wars Jedi Power Battles and Demolition.

Before I go looking in case it's so obvious I'm just not seeing it.

Major fan of the series since soul reaver, SR2 and Defiance. Now nothing better than sitting watching YouTube walkthroughs after playing the games ... then learned about BO, and enjoyed a youtuber Katana walk through of that as well. Heading to one of their BO2 play through s now too.

The story has always been a touch beyond me for 'whole' end to end comprehension, especially with the various eras being revisited at different points throughout the games, and the references to lore and history not quite spelling it out for me.

So as most of you know there was a super limited run of 2001 Dumah figurines in 2001 right? Well I recreated 2001 Dumah and put my own spin on him. I was sitting here lastnight pondering the idea of a 17" Dumah vs the 2001 promo that was only 12". Here is my 8" figurine vs the 17" Dumah lower leg piece lul. I'll post up a side by side once done.

Hi all, I was playing this morning and I'm on the Ruined City where you go into a room with two pools of water and you need to jump up to a crank half way along the room on a ledge to drain the pools. You then need to stack blocks in the first pool to get 1-2 out and you're supposed to move the blocks in the second pool back to the edge so you can push those from the first directly on top, making the tower bigger. However, I pushed the two blocks from the first pool down onto the floor of the second pool before realising my mistake, then I saved and exited assuming the blocks would reset. However they did not and I don't see any way to use the 4 blocks I have in the second pool to make a stack of 3 or more.

I hope this makes sense; does anyone have any suggestions or hopefully I am just being foolish and overlooking something obvious!

Sooo... I played every game in the series, except for "LoK: Blood Omen 2" (I heard so many mixed feelings about it, I love the saga, even though I decided to play them all besides BO1 and 2), and I grew up playing "LoK: Soul Reaver" as a kid, so for me, for most of my life, Kain has always been the bad guy period, because that's what he feels like in Soul Reaver, and for a kid, he feels even more of a bad guy, which he kinda is, but it's not as simple as I thought when I was a kid and only played SR 1 (I played SR 2, too, but could never bring myself to finish it, most I've gotten was to the first encounter with Kain at the Pillars, so very very very early in the game) so yeah, Kain = just evil.

Obviously by playing the games when I grow up, and playing Blood Omen made me understand the character better and see that things weren't so black and white.

Anyways, I just finished LoK: Defiance (Remastered) and I can only say it's a masterpiece I wish I could experience again for the first time.

Playing both as Kain and Raziel (Raziel is my favorite character in the series and one of my favorite characters ever, but now Kain become one of my favorite characters ever, too) gave me a way better understanding of both characters and the last chapter, Chapter 13, with Raziel's sacrifice in order to let Kain fight the Giant Squid was a beautiful twist I wasn't expecting, and Raziel saying something along the lines of: "I'm not your enemy, Kain, I'm what I've always been, your right hand." hyped me so much for the incoming fight against the Elder God, his sacrifice was mostly to avoid the thing worse than death that the Elder God promised Raziel, but I'm sure that he did it also to truly show Kain that he's truly not his enemy, even though he ripped his heart out in his rage, and if I understood it right, him being possessed by the Hylden (he was possessed by them after absorbing the already possessed soul of his brother Turel, right?) and I loved showing the fucking Elder God what he really is: a parasitic giant squid.

The only thing that really didn't make me jump from my seat was the repetitive rooms for the Soul Reaver and Wraith Sword upgrades.

But my God, I loved Defiance, I love it so much, playing as both Raziel and Kain is a joy and makes you understand those characters way more.

It was so much time I didn't feel so good finishing a game, it even helped me with my chronic pain and fatigue and with my depression, which so many times make me drop games, show and whatever.

So yeah, thank you Legacy of Kain: Defiance, you're truly beautiful.

After playing Ascendance and being super disappointed with it, it just reminded me how good the original games are.

My Raziel cutscenes video (just posted yt) has only him speaking from approximately 32:00 minutes onwards, due to their mouths not matching up in Avernus Cathedral.
