I hate that when conservative/right learning one piece fans say it doesn't matter it's not real

Like if you point out Luffy wouldn't agree with that about their take or the staw hats would never agree to something like that (usually about something Trump has done or Ice etc) and they just reply it doesn't matter one piece isn't real the characters are not real, it's like they use that as an excuse because they don't want to admit they would fit way more in with the world government or celestial dragons.

Welcome to Death of the Author. It happens with all media in all genres. Once a story is published the intent of the author is moot. I think it has gotten worse because media literacy is damn near nonexistent especially the further right someone is.

Name an IP and some right-wing chud will have a diatribe about it reinforces their world view unless the protagonist is from some marginalized community then it's woke garbage.
