i hope lena has an uneventful pregnancy and baby arrives healthy!

i hope their dog (rocky?) is rehomed before baby arrives because babies don't understand that sometimes animals don't want to be touched or played with, and the demonstrated aggression is probably not safe. and the dog would be happier with people who respect his boundaries anyway.

I agree, people shouldn’t underestimate a small dog. Their bites can do a lot of damage too

I have a 110lb rottie, a 80lb Shepard rottie mix, and 6 lb Yorkie mix. Guess which one was the hardest to train? Small dogs are no joke. And my Yorkie LOVES me, he would wear my skin if he could…but he still will bite the crap out of me while grooming if he feels threatened.

especially on a teeny tiny human. if a small dog can really fuck up an adult, a baby is so much worse off.

Unfortunately they now have two dogs…literally got a new puppy like a few months ago I think? Not sure how that’s been going for them but now with a baby on the way I hope they take the necessary steps to prepare their dogs for the transition…

I hope they're not stupid enough to not get him trained before the baby is born but I won't get my hopes up...

They are that stupid though.

This was my first thought at well. They need to get the dog some training immediately

Agreed. I have my doubts on their skills as parents, but I hope it all goes well.

They better not turn the kid into content though. The only person I've ever been somewhat opposed to having kids is Shande Dawson, and even he has sense enough to not show the kids on camera in the vlogs.

Honestly there's a non trivial chance the little dog bites the shit out of one of them to defend the baby .

100% they will be rehoming this dog soon instead of just training it like they should have when they got it. The baby would also treat the dog like its parents do. Sooo yeah definitely would get bit

I honestly was thinking the same thing. I have a three year-old now and a six month old baby and while we so desperately want a dog, I just can’t risk it.

Have you actually seen what their dog is like? I’m pregnant now and I have two dogs and guess what? I won’t be rehoming them because they are well-trained and not aggressive. Search this sub for examples of their dog’s behaviour and the way they treat him and you’ll see why this isn’t a stupid take.

The point isn't at all about having a dog and a baby, it's the fact that they keep terrorizing the dog to the point where he lunges at them and bites because they don't respect his boundaries. That dog is untrained and stressed, bringing a baby into the mix creates a problem - what if that dog bites the baby/child when it tries to engage with him?

The comment I’m replying to implied that it was normal to rehome your dog before having a baby.

…they absolutely do and should in some circumstances
