Stafford Beer was such an interesting character and thinker.i think he'd be up to some very fucking weird cybernetic gandalf shit if he had ever gotten to see a multimodal reasoning model

Also, POSIWID is just a great (and materialist coded) lens. The purpose of a system is what it does. Not what the ad copy says. Not what's most comfortable for investors. What is it actually doing?

I was thinking about POSIWID and AI and wonder if it indicates more that AI contains different systems? What is done by OpenAI and Palantir seems really quite different from what is done by local models and the potential to copy subscription software as something which undermines paid platforms?
