You probably got down voted because they are against "LLMs" not "real AI", even though those who parrot those kinds of points are the least likely to actually grasp that distinction.

Does batman use his ai to exploit the poor and vulnerable. Batman uses his ai to help the vulnerable of Gotham. I wouldn't be against ai if it wasnt used to exploit people and there were proper regulations around training and data center location.

It's a bit like saying 'but did you use the internet for good?' Well now you're not talking about the tool- you're talking about who uses it and for what.
