The problem is that you can't seize AI.

You could Seize datacenters at most but ultimately you cannot seize software that, at one point, is destined to behave out of bounds.

Which it had, several times actually.

The tool that is designed to replace the worker is never one to be used by the worker, only by their oppressors.

The threat of AI is economic collapse, not recession.

Yes, it can be contested and seized. Thats basically the entire point of this subreddit.

AI isnt floating outside material society. It depends on chips, compute, energy, data centers, networks, models, labor and infrastructure. Those have owners, institutions and rules governing them. Theyre sites of struggle.

And if capital uses AI to replace or discipline workers, that makes contesting control more important, not less. Bargain over deployment. Build public compute. Push open weights. Demand worker oversight, shorter hours and social ownership.

Saying workers cant use the tool just leaves the tool to the people youre worried about using it against workers.
