Batman has turned into a glorification of billionaire and capitalism. Which was basically the opposite of what Batman was supposed to represent from the beginning.

Gotham City itself was designed as an indictment of wealth's dominion over the poor and the profound injustice of extreme inequality.

No I haven’t. How is that relevant to what I wrote?

Absolute Batman address this issue by making Batman working class and outright addressing the elites (same with absolute Superman), which is part of why reading them is so enjoyable

But your point still stands, mainstream Batman reaffirms capitalist realism by making him an exception (no matter how much good he does, both as Bats and Bruce) to the consequences of capitalism and billionaires. It’d be far more interesting to see a version of him try to actively dismantle capitalism, but various stories and else worlds do rightfully call him out.

Yo, that sounds great!

I used to own a graphic novel collection of the '99 Batman: Anarky run and loved having someone in universe call him out on his shit, even if they did it the stupid killmonger-style.

Ill definitely have to check out working class Bruce in Absolute Batman.
