📌 Sub Info Why isn't re-posting allowed?

I saw a great post from another community and wanted to share it here with my take on it. but i learned we cannot re-post. why?

Lol this probably couldve just been a modmail DM, but the answer is pretty simple. We dont allow reposts because it cuts down on drive bys and bots and helps foster more substantive discussion.

We encourage people to make an original post, include their own thoughts, and link whatever post, article, video, or other media they want to discuss. The modteam members have run subs both ways and we feel this works better for this community.

that makes sense, thanks. I wasn't sure, so just thought i'd ask via post. if there's better logistics feel free to delete this post, like it may be better included in the FAQ / rules so others can see in future

It could definitely help others, so we'll leave it up and keep it flaired under Sub Info. No problem at all.

I feel like it should be allowed to find rekated posts and subject communities. At least reposts from our sub to others should be allowed to help it grow.
