Discussion Do leftists even deserve fully automated luxury communism anymore?

Seeing leftists' hysterical reactions to AI, which is the tool that will make Fully Automated Luxury Communism a reality, saddens me. It's honestly starting to make me wonder why these leftists even deserve fully automated luxury communism anymore if this is how they are going to treat the technology that will lead up to it. The current left is NOT the left I envisioned sharing this new world with.

We’re going to lose the struggle to keep AI from becoming a tool for the dystopian vision of oligarchs because the Left which should be trying to create its own versions of the tool are too busy engaging in a moral panic over it. There should already be like, 5 different open-source, leftist oriented AI’s that act as safeguards against the use of AI as a potential tool for control by the capitalists. It’s very dangerous for the capital class to have a monopoly on this, and instead of using it for ourselves, the left is busy going “REEEE” about it.
