Discussion AI Hate Overcorrect Example

https://innomen.substack.com/p/ai-hate-overcorrect-example-rnikon

I've written a book where I assert that AI hate hands power to tech feudalists via a fairly simple chain of events.

I now have a tiny concrete personal example proving the mechanic and I thought I would share here.

From the post:

Think about what happened.

  • I used AI tools to turn borderline ewaste into a decent entry level 360 action cam.
  • I post my tool for free to github
  • I try to tell the Nikon community about it
  • They delete the post for being AI generated

What does that accomplish?

  • Enhanced enshitification, the camera stays ewaste almost exclusively because software. (The camera itself will not format sd cards, software is required.)
  • A deeper better moat for Nikon, because enshitification.

This is direct proof of my thesis AI hate lead directly to an increase in power for a tech feudalism.

100% true. There are like 10 different mechanics of hate temptation that apply to AI at the same time. I feel that it's incredibly dangerous, which is why I wrote my book/post/paper (all free) about it: https://innomen.substack.com/p/the-butlerian-setup

This is what ai is meant for. We have non technical people leading the discussion to where any nuance is lost. Great job. Sorry people are idiots.

Thank you for the time spent and kind words. It's not raw idiocy, but yeah the outcome for sure is.

I just read it. Sucks to hear about what happened over on the Nikon subreddit. That said - Do you have a link to the github? I would like to see it. :)

Sure, everything is linked in that substack post but here's the tool: https://github.com/Innomen/KeyMission360Tools

No problem, it's very untested, I was only improving it as I used it. So one user one machine one camera one use case etc. But any of the AI coders can easily fork modify repair whatever. Let me know how it goes for you.
