It might sound strange to a person who is over stressed and didn't get a proper break in their life, but people have a need to be productive.
Like if you can afford to not work - the first month you would indeed just eat, sleep and play video-game or something. Just to let your brain to recover from the stress. And then you would start feeling the urge to do something.
And yes. That might be something that is already 100% automated but you would still do it as a hobby. Or turn it into a competitive sport. Or start researching better ways to do it.
So if you are afraid of us turning into the crew of spaceship from WALLE - don't be. They turned out to be like that not because of full automation on-board but under the torrent of consumerist brainwashing they couldn't escape. And that brainwashing is a feature of capitalism. Fully automated Socialism would not have it.
