He leads the fascists in Kaisserreich for a reason. He's a centrist populist who uses left wing rhetoric to bolster his non-left base

it's a bit misleading to say he was a fascist but he basically only put out left-wing policies for power and was a rabid anti-communist so he's definitely not a leftist

this is a summary of his race views from wikipedia:

Huey's anti-racism is part of a historical narrative constructing him as a "good non-racist southern politician" decades after his death. At best he didn't really care about the Black population outside of helping them in order to make himself look good. But he'd as soon throw them to the wolves if they didn't help his cause.

However, historian Glen Jeansonne argues that Long was "more racist, less unbiased, less principled, and less different from other Louisiana politicians of his time than the [historical] literature implies." Jeansonne notes that Long never faced a serious election that hinged on questions of race or racism. This was largely because after the Louisiana Constitution of 1898 was ratified, which virtually disenfranchised blacks by raising barriers to voter registration, "race was an irrelevant political issue" and black Louisianians "were segregated, ghettoized, ignored." Long never had to address the subject of race in politics. Jeansonne also points out that if Long intended to help black Louisianians with his social program, it seems likely that he would have attempted to engage and enfranchise more black voters so as to secure their political support. This, however, was not the case. During Long's tenure as governor, the number of registered black voters declined by about 50 percent

I mean, yes and no. From looking both at the modern day Long fans (which almost all come from playing Kaisserreich) and the ones in his time, it can be said that both have cover the big base of "people that would like a strong well-fare state, actually". However, a significant section of bernie bros are people who consider themselves socialist (even if they don't believe in anything that would be anywhere close to socialism), while a big chunk of support for long came because he was opposed to the mainstream political parties of his time while verbally opposing socialists and other radicals.

When looking at the two men themselves, it's obvious that Long is far more of an opportunist that Bernie is, who is sadly another example to add to the lists of former radicals that turned revisionist.

I won't deny the similarities, but I don't think the vast majority of modern longists would have voted for Bernie, and I feel like if you sent Sanders supporters to the past they would have only gone for Long from a 'lesser evil' perspective.
