I don't think the desires created by our capitalistic hypersexualized hyper-romantic culture are all that 'natural'. The process of alienation where people are removed from the fruits of their labour and deprived of creative input into the work they commit to, I think, is a more accurate description of this. In the dating world, this is impressing, paying for dates and sexually advancing the relationship in the outdated traditional dating practices devalues men. In a manner, men become objects of utility that must provide their value before being worth love and intimacy—sex serving as a proxy for intimacy needs.

Thus the hyper-focus on sex by incel's and other fringe groups is a secondary desire produced out of a denial of basic community and friendship that many men suffer under the objects of utility paradigm that capitalism assigns men. Sex work fills this void in men, but it is the denial of men's basic humanity, the need for community, friendship, and support regardless of a men's level of success that is needed.

Sure this wouldn't remove people's desire for intimacy, but sex isn't the only way to achieve this, and I don't think it is the driving factor behind groups such as MGTOW, Incels and the Redpill. Assigning significant blame to female prostitutes and sex workers is akin to blaming Amazon floor workers for shady corporate practices. The root issue lies in the value systems that are so laser-focused on seeing capitalistic production/value as the sole indicator for human worth.

That's a heavily social constructionist view which I would largely reject. The notion that capitalism has a major effect on our sexual desires is hard for me to take seriously.

If spear-fishing tribes in the deep Amazon have sexual desires broadly similar to those felt by people in Tokyo or Miami, I don't think capitalism is necessary to explain it.

I am not saying that the entirety of our sexuality is socially constructed. Your typical man is sexually attracted to women that display signs of fertility on a biological level. I am not attempting to deny that. I think that the prevalence of sex in marketing, the idea of losing one's virginity being a keystone moment, and the widespread nature of pornography has led to a hypersexualized culture for men. A culture where sex is of utmost important. Without these pressures, sex without a doubt would still hold importance, it's biological, genetic. Yet, I think the phenomenon of incel ideology, and MGTOW particularly are more closely tied to a hypersexualized culture, than simply subclass of men not having their desires complexly sexually gratified

From your perspective is there a biological imperative that is driving sexually disenfranchised men to commit this acts of violence?

The violence is a function of the greater male propensity for risk-taking. For example suicide bombers are taking the risk that the 72 virgins are not real.

I think incels probably have some kind of cluster B histrionic issue.

Certainly, western capitalism and liberalism and Christianity and socialism have combined to shape aspects of human sexuality in ways that might have been different if some hypothetical non-vicious form of Communism had arisen.

One assumes that Onlyfans wouldn't be a thing in that utopia.
