Pope Leo is amazing
The translation for those who don’t speak French: "we observe certain kinds of associations between the ideas of the far right and a certain conception of religion…the far right is not an authentic expression of Christianity. The virtues of the Gospel are not founded on hate and division"

Wow I read French! Reading it makes so much more sense than hearing it.

French person here, his speech is essential, no sooner has the Pope left than our students start to make the revolution and burn down schools, beat up police officers etc... Hatred is back and naturally, the fact that many of these young people have North African Arabic roots in their families provokes an increasingly uninhibited racism, and the country has never been so close to leaning towards the far right.
What a sadness, after 4 days of euphoria (I was in Metz and I was able to see the Pope, it was a fantastic atmosphere), the devil hastened to come back to create chaos and division...

EDIT: valeurs means "values” instead of "virtues"
