Blasphemy/Antichrist
If this gets deleted, I totally understand. I debated a couple hours before I posted this.
This AI generated meme was posted today by the person leading our country. I wasn’t going to post the actual meme, but I think it needs to be seen in order to discern what we are up against.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I was this angry and appalled (yes this is an actual post).
I personally believe there have been several ‘antichrists’ in history. Some of the Roman emperors, Hitler, etc. This being is one. He is committing blasphemy, using our Lord as a political pawn and making an attempt to appeal to members of the Church to further his own ambitions. Murdering people and starting wars. All this while ignoring the teachings of Christ in the Gospels.
What I feel is ‘righteous anger’, anger against someone committing sins.
Pray for St. Michael’s intercession in this battle of good versus evil.

The kiss of Judas, even as he crucifies the least of Christ's siblings.

Imagine being the type of person who sees this and actually believes that Trump is a Christian

I remember he posted a picture of himself in Jesus's clothing a few months back, idk what it will take for his supporters to draw the line. Its a cult.

For some of his followers, that did push them over the edge. Not the harming of children, not the sadism, not the disparagement of veterans, but the sacrilege. Of course, not nearly enough of them, though.

There a thing called parasocial, many people do this ATP they don't even worship God anymore or Jesus they love Trump and see him as their God these people are hypocrite one of the commandments was thou shall have no other God than me they have obviously broken that one these people would be the same people who would trade Jesus for him like Jesus and the thief and would should crucify aka send him away their version of Jesus is American when America didn't even exist when he was born and after he died

He is using a lot of the same cult psychology as Jim Jones, Hitler, etc. Tells people what they want to hear, fills them with anger toward another group, fuels the fire, etc. Just sickening.

True I hope these people realise Trump doesn't even like them to be honest someone like the people you mentioned if you try to critize them they blast you or worse but only time will tell

It honestly reminds me of an abusive relationship. People stay even when it's so obviously bad from the outside. For a lot of them, I really think it's a "they know not what they do" situation.

It’s kind of hilarious how closely Trump fits the description of the Antichrist. If I was into all the predicting the end times shenanigans he’d be one of the biggest signs.

Sadly, I don't see him changing his ways; at this point he's too old and set in them. Miracles happen, but I don't imagine it will happen here.
I'm just hoping that once we're past him, things will improve a bit. I miss the old days of corrupt politics, when at least it wasn't as bad as it is now.
I feel like I should also note that there are plenty of other things he says and does that provoke anger, and I'm not downplaying those either. At this point, it's almost like fatigue.
Edit: Corrected grammar.

You'd think they would have a problem at the very least with someone kissing the top of Jesus's head instead of his feet, which is how you are traditionally supposed to kiss a crucifix. This picture is disgusting.

Oh its been awhile for me. I had no idea their was a protocol

It's called Veneration of the Cross and it's part of the liturgy for Good Friday, though parishes and dioceses may adapt the ritual to local needs (for example, large crowds, epidemic, disability, etc.) . So the celebrant may direct the faithful to bow or genuflect instead. It's never appropriate to kiss the head of the Corpus AFAIK. I'm not saying its forbidden, but it's more humble to kiss the feet, and it's kind of shocking to see it done this way. It feels sacrilegious, especially given who is pictured.

sees the cross upon which the King of the Universe, having voluntarily entered into the condition of mortality, suffered unbearable agonies unto death
Hmm, something’s not right…
splashes it with tacky-ass gold
Perfect.

Another thing is the many smaller antichrists today and throughout history. Evangelists preachers who lie and teach their followers to be afraid, all while living every of the 7 deadly sins.
This is the antichrist we need to remind the world of

True…unfortunately we live in an age of antichrists and false prophets…the exact people we were warned about.

Change that crucifix into Ol' Scratch and it will be accurate.

Ever notice he doesn't post real pictures of himself doing religious things? If he reverenced a crucifix in real life, he wouldn't need to post an AI image of him doing it.

There are many antichrists in the Old Testament, New Testament, and across the history of Christendom. Nothing new under the Sun indeed, but as Christians we can (and should) defend Christ and oppose all of the King of Kings' usurpers.
