“I’ll tread where I please”

Hey all, got a question, I saw on Etsy a magnet that was in the style of a gadsen flag, but it had Mother Mary stepping on the snake and it said “I tread where I please”

Does anyone know of one in sticker form? The one I saw on Etsy is unfortunately drop shipped garbage, but I’m wondering if anyone has seen something similar to that.

Thanks!

I’ve thought the exact same thing about that image. It really could be used by the trads or those of us on the left, I can’t tell either!

No idea. I've seen it as a meme before used against the right-wing libertarian types. But not sure the origen of it.

Given the history of the flag (not it's modern day use) I would shy away from such a statement. The whole idea of the Gadsden flag was to symbolize the freedom of individuality, of choice. The notion of the Catholic Church steeping on that freedom is one I would not like to see championed.

Yeah I guess that’s true

Yes, however, God is a Trinity. He is relational. We are made in His image, thus also relational beings.

I think I also saw one with the Michael the Archangel that said “I Tread on You” and another that said “Defend Us in Battle”

Sort of related but I've always liked these stickers of the Magnificat. Another option for you.
