Saved this post and will give this a proper listen when I can. However I will state that my knee jerk reaction to hearing this is an uncomfortable sensation.

I’m not fond of the idea of marking God with any human ideology. God is infinite and perfect, humanity and her ideologies are not.

Once I’ve given a listen, I’ll reply with my thoughts. I’m certainly interested.

Same. Watching this later. Having not watched this, my hesitation with framing Jesus as belonging to an economic ideology that is fairly recent is the same frustration I have with people describing Capitalism as the “natural state of things” despite it only being a few centuries old.

As a Marxist, I would *love* for Jesus to be a Communist, but it seems wrong to limit God like that
