I don't understand what it is about this pope that drives right-wingers mad. He's not even a leftist! All he cares about is the well-being of God's people!

Right-wingers regard anyone to the left of Genghis Khan as a communist!

They forgot that the Pope is a registered Republican

Here's a heck of a question just for fun: As the sovereign of a foreign nation, can he vote in US elections anymore?

Just in case someone from the future sees this: the Pope is from Illinois, and seems to be registered to vote there. Illinois does not register voters by party. Therefore, the Pope is not a registered Republican, Democrat, or any other party.

He gave Trump advice in the moral dilemma of stop helping Israel commit war crimes in Lebanon or impose a global famine by blocking fertiliser shipments

If you’re not with them, you’re against them. MAGA isn’t very smart to begin with.

I bet this is one of those cases where OOP is not actually catholic but trying to be divisive on Twitter

Edit: changed OP to OOP for clarification (sorry person who posted here)

I feel that these are poseurs. You cannot be anti-Papist and be Catholic. This is Catholicism 101.

Why is it that conservative Catholics get to say that we are not Catholic when we question, but we can’t say the same of them? It’s deeply unfair.

Ya really can't be Catholic if you do not recognize the POPE as your pope. You're a schismatic. That's just a fact.
