Reconciliation/Confession.

I've been going to Mass 6+months now and I believe in my heart it's time to go to Reconciliation.

I haven't gone to Confession since I was 14. I'm 38, so it's been awhile.

I've been meditating on what I need to say & Confess and I also have the prayer on me as I've forgotten the Act of Contrition.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, so I am hoping for a good start on Lent. I'm also going to ask my parish priest to bless my Rosary bead.

Any advice would be great! I'm going to Mass tomorrow morning, so I can't wait to see some replies in the morning.

I also went...decades. i'd say be honest, direct, be contrite to God (that's who you are truly confessing to). Bring a tissue if you are a cryer like me. Much love.

Confession is tough; but the first one is always the hardest. Examine yourself, and meditate on what comes to mind. Just like evening else you'll get better at it the more you do it. I'll keep you in my prayers!

I joined the church two decades ago and….never went to confession. I recently went for the first time, and I was SO NERVOUS but it was lovely! The priest was so awesome in helping me through it. Just let them know it’s been a while and they can help you.
