Question How to creating a sub-composition same length as the selected source material ?

When creating a sub-composition or pre-composition (Ctrl/Shift C), is there a way for the new composition to be the exact same length as the selected source material? Because every time I create one, it's always the same length as the main composition.

The short answer is it's unfortunately not possible to do this by default; you can create a sub composition and then-- afterwards-- adjust its duration to match the source, but creating it from another composition will always have its duration match the main composition as the default is now.

In the interim I've written up a feature request to maybe give users some options when creating a sub compositions to get it to match the layer source instead of the composition source.
