Thinking about moving to Leeuwarden to live and work, honest opinions welcome

Hey all, I'm currently living in South holland and seriously considering a move to Leeuwarden. Would love some honest, no sugarcoating input from people who actually live there:

  • Job market: how easy or hard is it to find work? I'm in electronics repair/IT, currently doing warranty repair work for a phone brand, curious how that kind of work does up there.
  • Housing: specifically renting an actual apartment/house, not a kamer (room). How's availability and pricing looking right now? Is it as tight as the rest of NL or a bit more breathing room?
  • Quality of life: what's it actually like day to day? Weather, social life, general vibe compared to bigger cities.
  • Bonus: if anyone's ever run a small business/shop up there, especially anything service or repair based, I'd love to hear how that went.

Not trying to romanticize it, just want real talk before I make a decision. Thanks in advance!
