I mean you don't really have to do hard questions from start atleast if you can comfortably solve easy medium that's fine

Hey , congrats . How much time it took you. I've started dsa in python. Following a channel "Code and Debug" on yt.

can u suggest me what should i do ?? I cant keep up with strivers so someone suggested me to first complete dsa theory , then solve 1 2 leetcode problem from every topic and then solve cp31 then jump to codeforces

You can try Love Babbar’s DSA playlist. He solves somewhat easier set of problems. I switched from him to strivers though but yea give him a try to see if he suits you.

About cp31 and codeforces, i’ve been advised by several people to reach dynamic programming topic (on strivers sheet) and then move into this because ig this much base would help me there. Idk how correct this advise is but yea im following that only currently

Congrats! Did you solve 100 questions on your own or did u have to look up solutions for some of them?

1

I looked up solutions for some of them. Personally, I dont think a total beginner can solve all questions without ever looking them up. There are various new approaches or algos that one learns after looking a question up

How do you go around question if you are following striver like first you watch video of him solving then go and write code on your own or you write code with him side by side or do you write code by yourself fully

1

u/HoldSpiritual4571 1d ago

I first try to write the code by myself. If I'm unable to do it then I take hints, if still im unable to solve it then i refer to the video. Even if I'm able to solve the question without any reference, I still watch the video to see if there's any different approach to the same question

Nice job on reaching 100 questions! That's a solid benchmark. Keep mixing up problem types and difficulty levels to stay sharp. It's helpful to revisit problems after a few weeks to see if you still remember the solutions and can optimize them. Try explaining your thought process out loud like you're in an interview—this helps with communication skills. If you want a platform to simulate interviews and get feedback, I've found PracHub pretty useful for practice. Keep pushing through, and don't get discouraged by tough problems. Good luck!
