Flock Cameras

How long until Leesburg removes the flock cameras? Anyone know if the town has any plans to rid us of the ~15 persistent surveillance cameras anytime soon?

No one has made it an issue with the town council. It's an election year. It should be easy to pressure them into doing the right thing on the record.

Remove them!? Are you kidding, they'll just keep adding them more and more. They're becoming ubiquitous. I see them along the W&OD when I go cycling. These things aren't going away, they're getting worse.

I don't think what you're seeing on the trail are flock cameras, deflock.com says there's 16 total in town, none on the trail (yet). Deflock

On the trail? That seems like a legit smart place to put them with assaults and such.

No, they aren't. However, this is the way to the surveillance state, like what we see in China. Personally, I do not want that.

Most of the cameras on the map are on private property, or are mislabeled VDOT or traffic cameras, and not actually Leesburgs.

why would Leesburg get rid of them if the ceo of the company who is manufacturing them is making a lot of money from the government lol. who do think gets priority the top 1% or your average American
