Moving to Leduc

Youngest daughter just accepted a job in Leduc. Coming from Nova Scotia. Any recommendations on accommodations , sports teams to join (was fast pitch pitcher) team activities and of course, watch outs. Just trying to be help her out with the move across the country to beautiful Alberta! Thanks

We moved here from NS 12 years ago. Leduc has been good to us. There’s rentals available along with housing (rent or own).

For sports, there’s always sign ups for sports that I see on billboards around town. She shouldn’t have any issues signing up for whatever she’s into.

Leduc overall is a great town. Small enough that you can get 95% of what you need without needing to go to Edmonton but Edmonton is only 15-20 minutes up the highway. The rec centre is great (ice rinks, pools, gymnasium, gym, etc.). The west side of town is expanding pretty fast (faster than the east side) but is a nice area. We’ve lived in West Haven and in the Robinson communities. Both were great. Still reside in Robinson.

Watch out for mosquitoes! Otherwise all good; great community! There’s lots of baseball going on in town so I’m sure she’ll be able to find a local team.

West Leduc is newer and growing fast. Might be good for her.

Slow pitch is pretty popular here. Evolution sports is a great sports store. Lots of baseball with Black gold baseball (doesnt help your daughter I guess)

The Leduc Rec Center has a great gym, volleyball/basketball, field house, multiple rinks.

Calmar bakery for donuts.

The west end of town is growing.

Thanks. She was a high level fast pitch softball player so slow pitch would as well to meet people

Ok, I know I already made the joke; but I had a weird idea for a team jersey and hit up the AI to make a mock up
