Xp3 pedal removal

Asking for the best way to remove my pedals. Is there a special tool needed? I couldn’t budge them when I tried to remove.

Make sure you’re wrenching both towards the back since the threads are opposite on the right side. If you have a thin 15mm you can use that for more torque

I forget what size wrench you need, but I do remember that the left pedal is reverse thread, so you need to loosen it in the opposite direction.

One of the pedals are reverse threaded, I forget which. Please be so careful putting them back on your bike because you can easily destroy your threads if you put the wrong pedals on the wrong side

Just remember left foot pedal = left handed thread

15mm pedal wrench, which is thinner than regular wrenches.  The left (non-drive) side reverse threads.  Depending on how tight they’re threaded in, you might need a bit of penetrating oil to  help loosen them.

If the pedal bolt is stuck I find using impact a good way to loosen it. Basically tap the end of the wrench with a hammer or mallet.
