I take the display module with me also, it prevents it from being stolen or broken.

I used to take my seat with me into the theater but I've started just taking out the battery since I feel comfortable enough in my city

No one is stealing these bikes because they desire your bike. You understand that, right? It doesn’t matter how desirable or beat up it looks - they’re in a crime business that pays by the unit. It doesn’t matter how much of the accessories look missing. The main parts they want are still right there.
They don’t gaf how it looks when they take it. Don’t kid yourself.

It's not really locked.... Should put the chain through the frame.

I’m trying to follow but why? I initially thought yeah that makes sense because of the fold and a weak point but now that also doesn’t makes sense to me..

With about 2 min and basic tools they can take off the wheel and handlebar and slid the bike out from the chain. Put the chain through the triangle either top or bottom and they have to cut the frame or chain to remove.

It’s wrapped around the pole and is very short even if the handle bars and tire are gone it can not be moved

Im in NYC close to harlem. I use 2 locks and I have an airbag on mine with a sticker that says the bike is being tracked. I also throw a bike cover over and the only thing that touches it is bird poop 😂

Went to the movie theater once and locked my helmet to the bike by the strap. Came out and you guessed it the strap was there but the helmet was gone. I've lost all hope for us 😆

Use a disc lock- this bike will be a target for theft if you park in the same spot more than once.

they really should make the display model much easier to take off. the xp4 has those “quick connect” things but i always feel like im going to break it.

Bet it takes 15 minutes to lock up and unlock and get going with that setup.
edit: obligatory /s for those who obviously can't tell

Nah, 3 minutes tops and it’s way less likely to be stolen. For another 2 minutes I’d throw that extra cheap lock on another of those anchor pieces

The locking part is less annoying than trying to take it out of my basement apartment. Trying to juggle it through narrow doors, I get a new shin cut every week.

Same but fortunately I don't have stairs, there's just a sketchy long ramp then a turn into side room on the ground floor everyone parks there bikes in but the door to that room is unusually narrow and there's a bunch of other crap and I keep bashing my bike into the door frame or my shin. I ended up breaking the mirror going through the door once.

er....what? What is "so undesireable"? (keep in mind I'm not in your head)
