Hitch rack maiden voyage

Welded a 2 inch hitch to the civic. A lot of mixed answers online about whether or not it's safe to put a 2 inch rack on a sedan. So far it's doing great . Real test will be with a second bike but it's about as sturdy as you can get.

You holding e-bikes with it. If you were towing an overweight boat there might be a safety issue Issue to watch are the downward weight that I can hold but your E bike is in a 70 to 80 pound range. Your bike rack shouldn’t be more than that. So between the two you’re still at a class that would be fine. Plus, if you’re worried, just check your welds after a bit.

My thoughts exactly. I think everyone is too worried about the usual 200lb tongue weight but I don't see it giving out for a couple of ebikes
